: Hi all. In a couple of days I will be adopting a 5 year old male green iguana. I just have a few questions I need answered.
: 1. The iguana automized his tail about a year ago. How long does it take to grown back.
: 2. He has a couple of toes missing. Is that going to shorten his life or cause any problems later on.
: 3. Two or three of his dorsal spikes were accidently burned off somehow. Is that bad aswell or is this a normal thing.
: 4. If the iguana has been living for 5 years and is eating and defecating well and properly, are there any chances that it may have salmonella or internal parasites.
: 5. How long do iguanas live.
: 6. I have heard that iguanas will go into depression if they go to a new family. How will this affect him and how long will the depression last.
: 7. How do I trim the toe nails of male iguanas.
: 8. Should the full spectrum and uv basking light be on timers.
: 9. Am I goin crazy.ehehehehehehehehehehehehhahahahahahahahahahehehehhohohohoho
: 10. Will it be really aggressive when I first aquire it.
: 11. What is the best way to transport an adult male for a car ride of just over an hour.
