if you don't trust this vet, find another!
you *need* someone who's medical opinion you value, *especially* in a situation like this ...
if you truly believe that euthanasia is the best thing for them, then do it ... it sounds like these igs have been thru too much already and that they still have a very long road to recovery ...
if you are willing (+ *able*!) to make the HUGE commitment, it may be possible for these igs to recover ... but that goes back to needing a vet who's opinion you trust + value ...
*sigh* ... i'm struggling to find the words ...
having been thru long-term medical crisises with just *one* ig, i shudder to think the amount of emotional energy it would take to help *2* very sick igs at once ...
is it maybe possible that one of them could go to someone else who'd be willing to take on such a burden???
i have some experience with nursing iZ back to health + can maybe share some thoughts if you chose to try a bit longer ... feel free to email me ... igs seem to have a tremendous will to not "just" survive, but to *thrive* ... it can be literally miraculous ... sometimes ...
there's lots + lots of "ifs" in a question like yours ... and really, you're the only one who can answer them ... you're the only one who is close enough to these 2 igs to judge what their quality of life is, what potential it has ...
but bottom line, euthanasia is sometimes the best and most humane thing to do ... tho i doubt that it is EVER an "easy" decision to make ...
best wishes,
Bon.
