maybe you are right.... I reread your post again and I just think I was missing your point. I don't know anymore. I might have talked someone out of rescuing an ig today myself without even meaning to. He just wanted proper care info. and when I told him everything, he said he would really have to reconsider his decision. He obviously was an intelligent person and I told him I was happy to hear him say it. The problem is that the iguana is being kept in an aquarium with a hedgehog! (so it does need rescuing) I may have convinced him to take the hedgehog instead, although he was going to take both before. Anyhoo, sorry if I went a little nuts on my previous post-- I've been ranting all day at work to people keeping fish in little cups etc. (I seem to have become some sort of voice for the animals and it's a futile effort most of the time-- and gets me pretty worked up as well) If one is very committed to rescuing an animal and knows all of the pitfalls involved, they should do it. Otherwise, tread carefully...you probably won't be ready for the intense care either way.
