I agree with everything iZ's mom said. And, baby igs are accident prone that is for sure! Sleestack was perfect (in outside appearance) when I got him and I was determined to keep him that way since my last ig was a rescue and quite full of burns and scars. Unfortunately, Slee ripped his horns off and broke several toes in the first year!!! He had a very safe enclosure, he just was a spastic freak-- very nervous and would struggle or run into the things out of fear-- always injuring himself! I don't even know when most of his toes broke-- one is turned sideways and I wish I would have caught that one at least so I could have splinted in straight (looks pitiful) He's a tough guy and he's got character so whaddyagonnado? Just look out for dangerous items and remove them as you mentioned. Sleestack hopes your ig heals soon! ;-)
