Take the bull by the horns! Get in there with some gloves or a towel and wrangle that beast out to give her a bath. It's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it! She probably won't tame unless you get her out of there and force yourself on her. Sleestack was a pain to tame as well (although he wasn't a biter thank God). I had to wrestle him plenty and wouldn't let him go until he settled down in my hands.
Hand feed her treats, give her baths, spend short periods of time with her several times per day and only leave when she is acting calm-- don't let her intimidate you into going away. She is getting what she wants and it will encourage this nasty behavior. It will take time but be patient and persistant. It may take a year, but you should see slow progress and some improvement in a couple months. Sleestack has come so far, but even he isn't as calm as my last iguana (he's got a nervous personality and doesn't do well outside our home).
