wierd head colors

Hi everyone,
Ever since his last shed, my iguana Randi has gotten some pretty funkey head stripes that, well, don't look like they are suppossed to be there. They are bluish-black and wrap around the top of his eyes, and are on his head. What's strange is when ever he is running or climbing, they become more intense. Can anyone tell me what they are or what causes it?
