Keeping ig's healthy when in season!

Okay, so my Mr. Igums has been in season for 6 weeks now. He's hardly eating anything and of course has lost weight. So how do I make sure he's getting what he needs until he's over this? I'm a first timer and didn't expect it to last this long. We do get rain every day here in NM during this time of year and I've heard the rain can sometimes spur it on an keep it on!
