Max the leapin',tail whippin',bitin',MEAN ig lizard

Any advice on taming mean igs? He is healthy,eats like a horse and bites like a pit bull. Aprox. 8 mths old, 2 ft+ long. Will he tame with patience or should I look for fried lizard recipe. (just kidding for those with no sense of humor)
