but I'm still curious as to why he would inject Rocko with antibiotics w/o having a reasonable cause. I guessI can see the water/calcium injections but even the Ca I would think is a bit questionable without bloodwork especially if he didn't see anything wrong.
Water injections - any idea how/where on Rocko your vet did this ? We've had conversations with several vets as far as passing fluid directly into the body cavity, over the kidneys I believe - I'd have to look at my notes to be sure of the procedure - but that is a rather extended I.V. process and not something that would simply be done in an office visit and usually reserved for severe dehydration.
I'm thinking that bloodwork and x-rays will give you a better picture if it is something other than impaction. Please keep us posted....
