fresh water should always be available - even if you never actually *see* your ig drink, it should still be there ... depending on the size of the water container, it can also help with the humidity ...

get a couple of thermometers - i've got a bunch of those 99 cent ones that are made to stick in your aquarium ... (make sure they're not within your ig's reach!) ... and CHECK the temps in the enclosure frequently ...

igs need it DARK to sleep better - same as us ...
don't use ANY kind of light at nite ... even the red ones are still too bright ...

i also mix iZ's salads daily - besides knowing that it's fresh, it lets me vary it just alittle bit each day and keeps him interested in his food ... igs like variety + iZ is especially spoiled rotten and won't eat if his salad is exactly the same 2-3 days in a row ... :)

(and my personal opinion here - DON'T use alfalfa pellets - igs tend to NOT like them anyway )
