If you are using a Zoomed light for UV, it needs to be 12" or less away from him. Basking lights can be further to prevent burns. Monitor temps.

You can train an ig to go to the bathroom in a tub of water or wet newspaper or many other places (just be consistent)

I use Jen Swofford's pages a lot on the Basking Spot. She lists the veggies and fruit and what the calcium to phosphorus ratios are (plus there are lists and reasons why certain veggies are to be avoided even though they are high in calcium)
