I was at the dollar store buying a bucket to age fish tank water in and decided to buy calcium supplements for the iguana with my extra money. I really don't care whether I can use these or have to buy tums, but I asking in case I can use them (I'm thinking I can't use them).
They're called extra strength "Calcium Antacid Tablets" antacid/calcium supplements (berry flavored). It says "**Compare to the active ingredint in Tums E-X" on the front. They are also made by the distributor of tums. The active ingredint is calcium carbonate USP grade, 750 mg per tablet. The 750 mg of calcium carbonate in each tablet provide 300 mg of elemental calcium.
---
ingredints: sucrose, pregelatinized starch, croscarmellose sodium, Talc, Magnesium Stearate, Artifical flavor, purified water, sodium polyphosphate, FD&C Red #40, Silicon Dioxide, FD&C Blue #1, Adipic Acid
(Low sodium.)
