A lot of species have offspring born with parasites - like every dog and cat. I bred SharPei's for some years and we had to take the pups in for a three part series of deworming after they were born. Just part of nature I suppose.
Most experts ignored the question regarding Iguanas until recently, but it is believed by most NOWADAYS that preventative (routine) deworming should be done.
Hope this helps...

: Just wondering where you got this info? Born with them? I can't see how igs could be born with parasites? I could see how they could pick them up in the wild after being born. But wouldn't it be sterile inside the egg? I am just wondering because i have heard they can't be born with them and just wonder what is true? ~It seems like alot of info on iggys is like this so i try and find facts on everything~ thanks~
: : *most* igs DO have worms and/or other parasites until they are treated ~ like puppies + kittens, they are "born" with them ...
