Hi~ Sounds like you are doing all the right things~ My husband asks me the same thing~ When will that lizard ever be tame??LOL~ It takes a long time and alot of work but if you keep at it eventually you will have a tame lizard. I have found out that no two Iguana's are alike though. Some are more mellow than others~ It sounds like you are doing a good job~ The first step is to get him to trust you! You just have to slowly introduce him to other people and show him nothing bad will happen to him. As for a how long it might take??? Could be a few months~ could take a year~ As for leashes i have yet to use any~ I might get one for my Rhino iggy~ as it does not have any spikes~ But so far have not had a need to use one. My tamest lizard doesn't need one as he is pretty well behaved when we go outside~ I just adopted him a week ago though and so i didn't have to do all the training as someone had done it for me.:)~ Of course i still have to enforce the rules and so i would say training a lizard is an ongoing thing~ But in my opinion its very rewarding! Good luck & keep working at it!
: little lizard so that everyone can handle him, I have got him a leash, but he's afraid of it.
: I really need to get him tam. He spends most of the day with me, so why hasn't he mellowed out?
: Thanx for any help.
