When you get a new iguana...unless it has been tamed by someone else...it should be scared of you and act freaked out not tame. A tame seeming baby iguana is probably sick. I suggest that he has a gutload of pinworms or something if he is skinny. Did you know that you can take your iguana to a vet? Yoiu should take him for a check up and bring a fresh fecal sample (keep it in the fridge in a sealed contained until the visit).
You should buy a UV light. Where do you live? This outdoor cage is good enough but only if you live in Florida or something where the weather is warm enough that your ig caan stay out all year and be warm. You should look up the care requirements of iguanas and stick to them. Don't take short cuts. To keep a healthy iguana it takes effort and money. Do it right the first time...too many people who have iguanas will tell you they killed their first and learned ig care at the expense of one igs life.

: My iguana is about 10-11 inches long I think. From snout to tail. I'm not sure about the age though. I've had her for about 3 weeks I think. Should I think about buying that active UV bulb or is that cage out in the sun good enough?
