Sometimes if you have been going to a vet for a long time they will cut you deals but a vet who knows his stuff and treats reptiles properly will not be cheap. I spend about 1000$ canadian on vet bills a year (but I have 18 animals). For one iguana who is healthy you should be spending onlya few hundred a year at most. This will turn into thousands tho if your iguana gets severely ill so the trick is to take him to the vet right away when you see something wrong and get it fixed while it is still cheap to fix!
: It depends on the vet some will do several things and give you a discount rate for a first time appt as they want your return business at least our vet did. Just make sure its a qualified vet and most will allow you to pay if its a huge bill in two payments.
