Beverly, in my opinion, you should get the driftwood out immediately. Driftwood is usually saturated with salt and salt compounds, and iguanas lick everything they touch or climb on. There is a good probability that this is the problem. You should get him to a vet immediately, and be sure you mention to the the vet about the driftwood. In the meantime, I would try to get as much water into him as possible. I suspect he's dehydrated. If he will eat, saturate the food with water before serving. If he won't, trickle a little in his mouth with a plastic syringe.
