You're catching me with only 4 hours sleep so please accept my apologies if I offend anyone else - Pete, you're SOL.
If you knew HALF of what you think you do, you would have known that the reason I asked what specific brand of UV was because of the Boston University study that came out awhile ago. Clinical proof, my friend, that ZooMed's ReptiSun/IguanaLight bulb was top on the list of FLUORESCENT TUBE UVB output. Other brands if tubes in the study claiming to put out UVB actually produced no more than a standard fluorescent tube. And, as we all know, the more UV, the greater absorption of D3, the greater absorption of calcium, the healthier the iguana, the better chance it has of GROWING, etc.
As far as temperatures are concerned, I'm wondering if we are actually talking about green iguanas. For some reason, I feel the need to question the tropical reptile experience of a zoo curator in Oklahoma. Other than that, since several of us have tried to find out some of the controlling factors that would contribute to growth rate and you have failed to supply information that is necessary to actually give you an educated guess, and in fact been rude and ignorant to the general populous of this board, my personal opinion is good luck with your iguana. Hopefully she will never become ill, and I think that breeding iguanas is an extremely sound business idea and that you should wholeheartedly sink every penny that you have into this proposition and even see if you can procure several large business loans. There certainly are not enough abused/neglected as it is now.
If, in fact, you ever decided to breed them for the restaurant industry, that would certainly be your prerogative, although I think it in extremely poor taste that you discuss it on ANY iguana board but ESPECIALLY this one. I,for one, would not risk eating any livestock that you produced, after your display of "knowledge" for fear of poor quality. And if all of this is simply a joke to you, then I would say that it is terribly low class.

Good luck, Pete. God bless your iguana.
Good bye.
