Just picked up an ig that was found in the middle of the road as a favor to our vet today (no one wanted him (the ig not the vet lol) and no shelter would take him). The ig (we have named him Doc) was not in great shape, 3-4 layers of retained shed on the spikes and his eye is a little beat up. Our vet gave us antibiotic ointment made for eye treatment to treat it with. The thing is, once we got Doc home and gave him a bath, his eye started to water (it didn't do this infront of the vet ofcourse and didn't start until the office was closed for the day). In fact, it's oozing and looks kinda yucky. Has anyone else every had any experience with "watering eye", can you tell me what causes it and what we should be watching for? Any info would be appreciated.
