Iguanas can swim underwater very well and they can hold their breathe for more than 20 minutes.
She is "hiding" Let her think she is out of sight. Woodstock always lays underwater.
I have some other iguana swimming picutes on the picnic page of Sam's site.
Yes, gravid could make her want to hide. Sammy usually went to her cage till she was gravid, then she wanted to crawl under the furnature and hide.
