When we get an ig in that shows signs of wanting to take a chunk out of one of us I usually put the gloves on and actually let it take it's best shot. It seems to get the instinct out of the way. Rarely do I get repeat threats after this. Headbobs galore but once they actually have a chance to lay into an old stiff hunk of cowhide that's usually all that they need. And, yes, I know - cow = animal protein but in this case I'll risk it...;)~
