Well i started to look Jupiter over a lil more, and found that one of his nails on his left front hand looks as though it was torn off at some point. the nail is still there, but the skin is dead (or i should say healed over) on the hand. Now i think i could probably clip the nail off with out harm (little info on me i have had veterinary experience.. no not as a tech or a dr., but working and assisting them very closely), but the question is how to tell if the nail is "dead". It seems to just be hangin there.

Ok another question. i have to calcium dust the crickets for all the other lizards i have. Now i know the iggy doesnt get crickets, but should i put any dust on his food or in his water??

Already plannin out a big cage. Plan on making it big enough for when he gets full grown (or at least close to it), but also able to be added on to if needed. i can section it off for while hes just a lil guy.. or girl.

And so you want to know the reason for the name huh. Well its not a big terrific story, but here goes. I have 4 other lizards, and used to have another. My first was a simple long tailed lizard (who later died due to unknown reasons0 whom i named Orion. I liked the name, plus i always look for that constellation in the skt on clear nights. Well in honor of him, i have named all my lizards after objects in the sky. My Flap necked Chameleon is named Aurora, after the Aurora borealis (northen lights). She changes color, and so do they. I have two Malaysian Golden Geckos (at least that is what i think they are) named Castor and Pollux, the stars of gemini (my sign, plus they look identical). My Bearded Dragon is named Sirius after the dog star, because he tends to get excited and beg for food like a dog when i feed him. And as for Jupiter.. well he will be the largest lizard i will have, and as Jupiter is the largest planet, he gets named after it. Long story but i am not good at braking things down. Oh and thanks for the MK web site, it helped with my other lizards too!!

Mike
