assuming you know the basics of iguana care, the emotional part will be hardest. about a year ago, my mom brought me home a fully grown male that had been abused [she didnt know that at the time] b/c she knew i wanted an iguana and felt bad that she bought my brother a puppy. i have spent the last year rehabilitating him, taming him, and taking care of him only to have to find a new home for my still jittery/skittish ig b/c i decided to go away to college. this hasnt been easy, ive been looking for about 3 months to no avail. i feel terrible giving him away, but i have no choice now.
perhaps the most useful piece of advise ive found is this: make sure you get any ig used to having its nails clipped. i have the scars to prove how necessary it is, and believe me, it definitly makes the rest of the job much easier to not have to reach for a towel after every ig holding session. even the sweetest ig will rip your arms to shreds if its nails are too long.

ps- if you could also send me a copy of your adoption application, i would really appreciate it. ive been asking all possible adoptive parents a few questions, but i was wondering what exactly you ask just to see if theres anything im missing... thanks....
