Good for you for starting the search early and not waiting until last minute!! My initial suggestion is to contact all the herp societies within a reasonable distance from you and ask them to post the adoption. Being that you do not want to ship, I think this course of action makes more sense than only posting the iguana on a national listing. Kingsnake.com has an excellent listing of most of ther herp society websites.
