I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of for your informative posts.

My family and I are planning on opening our home and hearts to a green iguana within the very near future. But first, RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH. My mom always taught me, "Don't put the cart before...."

I have located a herp vet (and interviewed him [yes, I know, pretty pushy]), putting plans together for a LARGE cage, found an organic grocer (who carries all of the Iguana Den Diet produce on a yearly basis), and have been reading EVERYTHING I can get my hands on (including all of your posts....sorry, been lurking).

Once everything is in place, we will begin our search for our newest family member. We live in Kingwood, TX (northeast of Houston proper). We are hoping to find an iguana in need of "rescue"....so far, have not been able to locate a rehabilitation source in our area.
