In Reply to: petsitting, illness, ig rescue-it's been a crazy week/long posted by Ig Chick on June 16, 2001 at 16:39:45:

that's just AWESOME, the owners being so thrilled with your "pet-sitting"!!! (tho it sounds more like it was hospitalization than "sitting"!!! *grin*) ... for them to be able to SEE the drastic changes proper care can make AND in such a short time?! i'm thrilled for you AND their animals! let's hope THEY now become vocal about the whole thing + promote the things they're learning from you ... *big grin*

regarding Rishi + the re-ocurring infection ~ have emailed possible contact to you ...

regarding Skeeter~
yeah, igs DO have not only a strong will to survive, but an even STRONGER will to THRIVE ...
stories like Skeeter's will never stop amazing me, that he can be SO sick + start bouncing back like that!?!?? once again, GOOD JOB!!!! *grin*
(+ i'll bet he's gonna feel SO GOOD now that the GOOD food he's eating gets used by HIM instead of parasites!!! the wormy scrawniness sounds like iZ when i 1st met him ~ Skeeter's gonna do GREAT!!! *grin*

a note on Baytril injections ~ i've been told that Baytril is one (+ maybe the only?) drug that is just AS effective given orally as it is when given by injection ... i didn't find this out til AFTER iZ had had daily injections for 3+ weeks + so i thought i'd mention it as food for thought ... tho now that i think about it, with rescue igs, i'm thinking it may be easier to do a quick injection than to get that nasty-tasting stuff into their mouth!?!

good luck + keep up the good work!
BOn. + iZ
