Helmet Iguana ate a Roach!!!!! And Threw-up

I have a helmet iguana for my Biology class, and I am not sure if the is o.k. On Wed. night while he was in the school, he got a hold of a roach in the cage. In the morning I found part of the roach and was pretty worried about him that day. During 6th period, I gave him his vitamins and within 2 minutes, he threw up the viatims and part of a skelatal backing. After this "Rock" who is usually good with the students doesn't want to be held anymore. If that is not enough, in the pet store they force feed him mealworms and crickets. I took him to the vet when I first got him and the vet said that he needs to get adjusted. Now with the roach and the attitude problem, I am getting worried. He has proper light, a tree to climb, water, plenty of air and a heat rock and a regular rock. I even got him some vitamin stimulant to make him eat on his own, but nothing is working. Is force feeding him O.K. and will he eat on his own? The pet store said that he never learned on his own, How can that be. If anyone can help, please respond. My students are really attached to him, and I need help.
