Is this a proper cage size for an ig??

Do you think I could possibly keep my adult iguana(Iguana iguana ssp.)in an enclosure measuring 8ftx6ftx2.5ft, or more, at feeding time and at night? I was thinking of freeroaming the animal (under supervision)in a secured area (couple of rooms) at daytime. The animal would use the enclosure when I wouldn't be at home & as a toilet & at night time, and of course, when ever it needs it's own privacy. Think this arrangement could work?
