Any other ig and I would vote for just keep an eye on things but where as she was not in great health when you got her -my vote would be vet for x-rays and calcium blood level check so you know whether or not supplementation is in order for her!
Then the best thing and of us can do is to wait it out ... and believe me it isn't always easy. Even after we made Mel a beautiful nesting box -she has never been interested. She lays her eggs where ever and whenever the urge hits and then wait for Mr D and only Mr D to come collest them and clean the mess that somes along with the eggs.
We had months of mood swings from her and they haven't gone away. As for the swelling thing -Mel did that too and we that was the story of the vet who $#*(@* for $200.00 and swore she wasn't gravid. I have a freezer full of her eggs that I am waiting to dump on his desk.
