yep - i think iguana03's right ... maturity and mating season are upon you (and you thought it was only the holiday season !)
the only trhing i'd add is that it''s helped me alot to learn to understand iZ's language and LISTEN to him .... if a head bob along with posturing means "LEAVE ME ALONE!" then by all means leave 'im alone! iZ usually comes down to the living room in the late afternoon til bedtime to be social, but there's days during this time of year when he doesn't want to and so he eats in his room and sulks .... and then usually will tolerate company from lowly humans the next day .... or the next ....
also, as you've noticed, this time of year, you should NOT take your eyes off him even for a second when he's within striking distance (or flying leap distance) ... iZ reminds me alot of someone who's had a baaaaaaaaaaad day at work, and takes it out on their unsuspecting family ... (i'm just guessing, cuz I would never do that ....LOL)
Melissa Kaplin's site and i believe the Basking Spot both have info on dealing with iguanas with mating season mood swings .... (and even trho i'm usually the one with all the links ... i'm on as different 'puter and so i don't have them right at hand...)
good luck! (it DOES end!)
:P + :)
