Yes im aware of watching it :o) this is Double D's second time at trying it LOL. We have decided along with our vet that even if it goes upward we will just watch her to ensure it dosent cause problems as we dont want to put her through that again after all shes been through. We are being careful. On the regrowth part is just smooth as silk and black is that normal, the black is NOT damaged tissue its been checked by our vet, just couriouse if most regrowth's is scale free.
: Christy, it is very common for tail regrowth to have an upward slant. You should watch closely for extreme angles, however, as tails have been known to grow forked, at almost right angles, and even to curl around and grow forward. What little regrowth Bug has (he's missing about the last 8 inches) has a slight upward slant. The upward slant is not of concern, unless it becomes extreme, or exhibits other strange contortions. If this happens, a vet would need to reamputate, and try again...
