Christy, it is very common for tail regrowth to have an upward slant. You should watch closely for extreme angles, however, as tails have been known to grow forked, at almost right angles, and even to curl around and grow forward. What little regrowth Bug has (he's missing about the last 8 inches) has a slight upward slant. The upward slant is not of concern, unless it becomes extreme, or exhibits other strange contortions. If this happens, a vet would need to reamputate, and try again...
