I usually fill the water bowl with cold water & an icecube. My igi is obsessed with icecubes and will lick it until there is a small tongue hole through it(Must be one bored igi:0).
As for misting, I use luke warm water! he seems to enjoy it rather than cold mist.
I'm no expert on igi's but it seems to work well with mine.
