Yes, you are right regarding use of aloe vera ( and also cod liver oil or whatever ). It should not be used until the adequate treatment has done its purpose. That's one of the reasons why I've used it the last month only. The first treatment ( ESPECIALLY in burns ), should be to remove dead tissue, giving liquid therapy, giving some antibiotics (both locally and by injection) and keeping them in an environment that is clean and with the right microclimate.
