A shot of Ivermectin? Ugghhh!!! Well I have used and always advocate NIX (head and lice treatment for small childern/ get it at major drug stores)
its accessible, ITS QUICK,and its safe when used with proper dilution...2 ozs to 3/4 gallon water.
Keep an eye on mite prob...after 2 weeks (normal life cycle of reptile mites (i.e. ophionyssus natricis) you should know if the Ivermec has done the trick or not...hopefully you have thoroughly disinfected his cage/tank/enclosure or for sure you can expect another round or two!
Post back and I'll post my file on ectoparasites & NIX to erradicate them.
Isis is dismissed to his chamber for now!
