We've had reptiles for 10yrs and living in central Fla,we've been able to let them free roam for most of the yr.
We keep ours on carpet,,easy to clean and easy to look for carpet fibers around their nails.
Now our igs free roam outside also and on several occasions we've seen our igs taste dirt.We know they're on a proper diet and set ups are good and lots and lots of natural sunshine,,so why do they still taste dirt? I know their blood panels are right and done twice a yr,,and all comes back in the norms,,,so again,,,why do they taste dirt?
Is it curiousity or a lack of something.
I've had Cirsis for 7yrs now,,an iglet when we got her and she's the worse offender!
I have no answer as to substrates, but we feel more comfortable with carpet.
Just my 2cents
