: April,
: I just took another look at Wasabi.... Are you 100% that it's really male ???

Hi!
Funny you say that, I always thought he was
female (used to be housed with another iggy
who was DEFF male at 1 yr of age) but when I
moved on my own and had Wasabi kept alone, his
spikes started getting longer, etc but of course
what really made me think was one day seeing him
with his hemephines out marking his basking log!
So I took him out, yup! Big femoral pores!
And huge bulge in the tail! One month prior to
this, he looked completely female... so it was
a sudden "blossoming" if you will. He still
has never bobbed (even in the presense of the
other male) so I am thinking he is just a
subordant male, but deff. male. (in a way it's
good, no eggs, but in a way it's bad when
breeding season is upon us.)
I'll try to get some pics of his pores and
bulge if I can.
-April
