Made for bird supplements: MK uses Vionate for her ig...so suppose it isn't that uncommon. I would think it all depends on the ingredients...with particular attention to Vitamin A & D3 content hopefully the supplement you choose is low in these as well as phosphorus.
Diet wise: Iguanas love color and anything with an aroma! Since they are folivorous frugivores (leaf and fruit eaters) a few other options you can add so that the majority looks of salad looks like this choosing 1 item from each category:
60-70 % dark leafy greens besides collard, mustard greens....try turnip greens, dandelion greens, escarole, geranium leaves, young hibiscus leaves.
20% veggies like diced cactus pads, legumes & tofu in calcium sulfate, timothy hay cut small(since he's a baby will need the ^protein for growth), grated butternut or spaghetti squash
20% hi calcium fruits like peeled & diced prickly pear, fresh figs, papaya (Mexican type more fruit for $), red rasberries, oranges...
I try and vary the ingredients week to week...Any other items could be added for variety. I give mine Total cereal, bananas, reconstituted dried seaweed, prunes, mango, Thompson grapes, cherries , diced apple, melon, strawberries, in small amounts about 1-2xs a month depending on what's in season.
