Brand new to the list, and have been reading over some concerns about iguana breeding... 1)how often does mating actually result in fertile eggs in the US? My experience is that iguanas are pretty tough to successfully mate anyway.
2) How long to most 'well-taken-car-of' iguanas live? I have seen many iguanas, but few over the age of 10. However, just saw a sick one the other day (kept outdoors mostly, here in So Cal... probably has a lot to do with its survival) that was 15.5 years. There have been reports of longer-lived ones than this, but I always wonder if those reports are accurate or not.
3) What are the folks out there's feelings about the absolute necessity of direct sunlight in the health of an immature iguana?
Got lots more questions, but that's it for now. Thanks!
