well, igs generally hate change even more than *I* do, so yes! he could very well be reacting to the change in his routine!!

as far as eating carpet ~ he's not *really* EATING it is he???? be VERY careful that he doesn't get any loose strands/strings and start munching on 'em!!!!! it won't digest and if it's a very long piece it could cause some pretty MAJOR intestinal problems!!!! (+ just in case ~ if he ever DOES eat a string + it starts comin' out his vent??? DO NOT PULL ON IT!!!!!! if it's very long, it could still be partly in the intestines and pulling it out thru all those winding curves could do seriously major damage ...)

try collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens ~ they're better for him than the spinach + kale ... + IMHO, commercial ig-food is a waste of money ... better to get nutrients from the food itself!
