Your diet needs some work (kale and spinach should NOT be a staple) Substitute these with collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion, watercress, escarole, endive. Shred squashes, sweet potatoes, etc on top, add 10% fruit like cantelope, blueberries, watermelon, papaya.
Spinach and kale are harmful and should only be used once in a great while IF AT ALL (I don't use these ever). They inhibit calcium absorbtion.
As for the carpet eating... don't sweat it! All my iguanas have done this-- usually when they are hungry and waiting to be fed. No matter what the color of the carpet, there is something about the texture and taste that they seem to be attracted too-- silly lizards!!!
I will provide a link below to help you sort out diet issues and pick a salad that works for you. This is one of those sites to bookmark! It is one of the top 3 sites regarding iguana info that we reccommend nearly everyday on this forum. Let us know if you have any other concerns.
