What type of ig is this? If giant green iguana...its best to keep them herbivores (leaf and fruit eaters ONLY!)...A herbivore eating animal protein whether it be yogurt, meats, dog food, eggs PLUS the fact most ig owners don't provide 80+% humidity 24/7 and good water intake leads to chronic dehydration (ALOT of water is needed to breakdown plant and especially animal protein!) all roads lead to kidneys shutting down (very common at your igs age!). Do your VERY BEST to keep him away from ALL animal products. He really should see a vet (link below) just names and addresses...need phone directory for #s. Hopefully a reptile vet closer than you think! I'd have a reptile panel done on him ($75-100), have him checked out for parasites; worms ($10-25) and have those blisters checked out. Its too vague to know what we're talking about here. Often times blister disease in reptiles is from sitting for long periods of time in wet or soiled substrate. How do you think he got them? Could they be burns? 6 weeks is a good time limit for knowing if a treatment is effective but since a vet hasn't seen him its too hard to say.
GGIs are arboreal as they mature...They like it up HIGH! they are not land igs. The dog run may be stifling/stressful for him and he may tear out claws, tear up his nose in an effort to escape.
Concrete also can get VERY hot when exposed to natural sunlight. You may want to cover majority of the dog run with a close knit durable nylon shade cloth (PetScreen is a good one)UVB rays bounce...so as long as your ig is getting some exposure to natural unfiltered sunlight..another option may be a free standing tree 10 feet away from anything (to prevent him from leaping) with a pen at least 4 ft high built around it to keep predators out/keep him from escaping. Sorry can't help you more, wish I had something more positive to tell you ...but you have a tall order! Its great to see you're asking for help! I would definately start at this hyperlink tho:
