Well I have taken in THREE iguanas that where burned on heating pads one died I think the one that died was electrocuted . Just the fact that a heating pad is a heating element covered with a thin layer of plastic and in most cases a cloth pad combine that with the fact that iguanas live in a moist environment and have sharp claws well you figure the rest out . A heating pad has almost the exact same heating element as a heat rock . On the other hand in 15 years I have only seen two iguanas burned by a CHE and both times the iguana had direct contact with it .
