my suggestion is to "tub-train" Pancho ... teach him to go to the bathroom *before* you let him roam around ... (that's how iZ learned) ... a nice warm bath will usually encourage him to poop in the water and then he won't poop in places that are more difficult to clean!

now, i can hear your mom possibly freaking out about your ig pooping in her tub! ok, moms are like that! i know cuz i AM one *AND* a grandma! .... *grin* ... iZ has used our tub for his toilet for years and i have THE cleanest tub in town!

after iZ is done in the tub, i rinse it out with water and then refill it with an inch of cold water ... then i dump about 1/2 cup of bleach in ... i have a 'toilet brush' that i use just for the tub and i take the brush + stir up the bleach water + get every surface of the inside of the tub wet with bleach water + scrub at the sides of the tub with the brush ... (do NOT use "just" bleach cuz it WILL STAIN the tub!)

this WILL DISINFECT the tub!!! bleach will kill just about every 'germ' there is and WILL kill every iguana-poop related 'germ', including salmonella, etc!!!

cleaning stuff + killing germs + bacteria is *part* of my job in the hospital so i *do* know what i'm talkin' about! (*grin*) ... bleach is the most effective way to disinfect stuff at home ... and it's better than any expensive "antibacterial" product the stores are full of now ... my toddler granddaughters take baths later in the day after iZ has used the tub + i would NEVER risk their health so this DOES work! *grin* ...

(i'm talkin' more to try + convince your mom more than anything! do i have her convinced yet??? LOL)

plus! if she lets you tub-train Pancho, not only will there be no more poop messes on the furniture, but she will have THE CLEANEST, SHINEST TUB in town and it'll be YOU who's cleaning it!!!! (what more could a mom ask for!?!?!)

hope the couch got clean ok and that she wasn't "too" upset!?!?
