HEATING

ok im totaly confused :( iv come to the conclusion that heat rocks are unsafe and dangerous. so iv thought about getting a heat pad the 1 for humans...but then my freind tells me that the heat pad for humans is not supposed to be on for long term use...so then they tell me all i realy need is a over head heating system(heat lamp)i have a heat lamp but my age it open so im not sure if the heat is going directly on my iggy or it espcapes on the side..my freind uses a heat lamp for his snake and it does not give off any light but it is extremely hot...i no my iggy needs the light to see duhhh but would it be a good idea if i use 2 lamps for my iggy???? the 1 i have now wich is a strip of light i keep over the age and the 1 the does not give off any light cuz if theres nothing wrong with it ill use those 2 at same time...but i wont touch any thing until i get the OK from u guys
