If you're going to invest in a CHE run it 24/7. Your iguana will thank you for it as a heating pad most definitely will not be enough to heat the enclosure. For the extra $30 or so invest in a temperature controller to plug the CHE into. WE run ESU's temp controller on a radiant heat panel and it works very well. You can check them out at on-line stores. I know that HerpSupplies.com carries them.
