Is to heat your ig from above. IGuanas are "designed" to absorb the majority of their heat from above them as opposed to below. Try finding solutions to emulate that situation i.e. basking spots, radiant heat panels, CHE's if you need to.... Heat rocks are really nothing more than a waste of the $10-$30 that I've seen companies whack you for. I've gone as far as asking Zoo Med, on several occassions, exactly why they need to manufacture both a rheostated model and one without the stat... And they have, thus far, refused to acknoledge the question once I re-phrased it so they couldn't weasel out of an answer.... Go figure....
