I don't know about the wood or whatever..but for me personally I tried the indoor/outdoor carpet (turf, plastic grass, whatever you call it.) and it was no good at all. Not only was it *extremly difficult* to clean, it constanlty frayed. Leaving me a job or cutting the frayed edges and threads off everyday, sometimes twice. It didn't last long either. My female iguana ripped it all up within a month.
The cleaning was the worst part though. Now I only use indoor outdoor carpet on areas that Roxy doesn't get wild in, like her sleeping shelf.
