Hi all... well, my suspicions about Zoe's vet not knowing anything were right. We went Friday night for her 2nd visit for worming ... I questioned the vet again about possible eggs... she said "no no" then when I was ready to walk out the door she said "Well, it could be eggs. But I dont think iguanas produce eggs when there in no male around. Then again, I dont know much about iguanas. I mean, iguana reproduction."
ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The blood drained from my face & I knew I would be on ARAV.com this morning trying to find a HERP vet to call.
All weekend Zoe is distressed. She is pacing all over the house, constantly digging on my bed until she gets under the pillows & continues to dig. When I put her back in her enclosure she comes to the door & bangs on it for hours until I let her out again.
I have a litter box with soil in it for her but she isnt interested. She has her sites set on my bed... which I dont mind... if she would lay the eggs there & get it over with - that would be great. But in the mean time... she is freaking out.
I cant leave her free roam while I am not home... so I really dont know what to do. She is not happy at all. And I am very worried. I am calling another vet today off of ARAV.com
I pray that he is the real deal. She may need to be spayed.
