Not a dumb question at all! I don't have much experience myself with outdoor enclosures either,(that's why I'm reaching out to all of you for ideas!) but I've heard that the vinyl coated stuff is much easier on iguana snouts and toes so I wanted to find some so my ig's wouldn't get injured if trying to get out of the cage. I suppose hardware cloth would work, but I just was hoping to find some that was coated for that added extra protection.
As to your question of if I'm looking to order some off the internet, actually, I'd rather find it at a local hardware store because I really want to build it this week and I'm afraid that having to order it off the net would take a long time. I had no idea at the outset that I'd run into this problem and had hoped that the cage would have already been finished by now. But, if I have to order it off the Net, I will. Why? Have you heard of a company who sells it?
I've spent most of this afternoon here on the Net looking for sources for caging wire. I've read many many pages of references found on Melissa Kaplans site about hardware cloth and etc. but so far, I don't see anything that I'm looking for exactly.
Thanks, Bon, for always being so friendly and nice. Yours are ususally some of my favorite posts to read because you're so friendly, creative and sound so happy and positive.
Have a great day!
Diana
